Choose Your Chain Type
Semi Chisel
Rounded-corner cutters provide reliable cutting performance and are more forgiving in dirty or abrasive timber. Ideal for general firewood cutting, farm work and everyday use.
Full Chisel
Square-corner cutters deliver fast, aggressive cutting in clean timber. Popular with professional operators seeking maximum cutting efficiency.
Semi Chisel Skip
Combines rounded-corner cutters with wider cutter spacing to improve chip clearance and reduce cutting load. Particularly useful for longer guide bars.
Full Chisel Skip
Aggressive square-corner cutters with skip-tooth spacing for efficient cutting and improved chip clearance when working with large timber.
Ripping Chain
Designed for cutting along the grain of timber, particularly in chainsaw milling applications. Uses a cutter configuration suited to longitudinal cutting.
Ripping Skip
Combines ripping-chain cutting characteristics with skip-tooth spacing for improved chip clearance when milling larger timber.
Tungsten Semi Chisel
Tungsten carbide-tipped cutters offer extended edge retention in abrasive cutting conditions, reducing the frequency of sharpening compared with conventional steel cutters.
Tungsten Full Chisel
Combines tungsten carbide cutting edges with a full-chisel cutter profile for demanding applications where extended edge retention is important.

Sharpening Guide – 7/32" (5.5mm)
LONGER 3/8" .058" chainsaw chains use a 7/32" (5.5mm) round sharpening file for standard steel cutters.
For best cutting performance:
-
Use a quality 7/32" (5.5mm) round file with a suitable sharpening guide.
-
Maintain consistent filing angles across all cutters.
-
Sharpen regularly to maintain cutting efficiency and reduce unnecessary strain on the chainsaw.
-
Check and adjust depth gauges as required.
-
Avoid excessive filing to maximise cutter life.
Tungsten Chains: Tungsten carbide-tipped chains require suitable diamond sharpening equipment rather than conventional round steel-chain sharpening files.
Chainsaw Compatibility
LONGER 3/8" .058" chainsaw chains are suitable for selected Husqvarna, STIHL, Jonsered, Dolmar, Makita, Echo and other chainsaws equipped with a compatible 3/8" pitch, .058" (1.5mm) gauge cutting system.
Compatibility depends on the guide bar, drive sprocket and exact drive-link count. Some chainsaw models are available with multiple chain configurations.
IMPORTANT – CHECK BEFORE ORDERING
Always verify the following specifications against your existing chain and guide bar:
Bar length alone does not guarantee compatibility.
